Meet MISS GUERRA
Hello there! My name is Nicole Guerra. I graduated from California State University of Fulllerton's (CSUF) Combined Multiple Subject Program where I received both my M.Ed. and my Multiple Subject Credential in January of 2021.
I also graduated from CSUF in May 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and a minor in Child and Adolescent Development.
Since graduating, I have spent most of my time working as a substitute teacher until I was hired to teach 1st Grade in August 2021 in Santa Ana Unified School District. I have begun my second year in 1st Grade this year as well! I have learned so much and I cannot wait to apply all that I know right now, to my second year of teaching.
I have also had wonderful opportunities to work/volunteer in a range of settings, which include:
-
Substituting in K-8 general education classrooms within Garden Grove Unified School District, Irvine Unified School District, Orange Unified School District, and Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District.
-
Volunteering in TK-5 general education classroom, as well as a 1st/2nd Special Education classroom at West Orange Elementary and McPherson Magnet school
-
Volunteering at CHOC's Rehabilitation Center
-
Volunteering with Tzu Chi Character Education at Ekstrand Elementary
-
Volunteering as a Tzu Chi tutor in reading and mathematics at Madison Elementary
-
Volunteering at the OC Community Health Fair located at a Boys and Girls Club in Santa Ana
-
Volunteering at Food Distributions at Villacorta Elementary School
-
Volunteering for Vacation Bible School (VBS) for Holy Family Cathedral and St. John's in Orange County.
I hope that this website provides insight into who I am as an educator, as well as an individual. I am eager to grow professionally, and, most importantly, I look forward to the opportunities I will have to make an impact on my students' lives and help them see that they are capable of doing anything they set their minds to.
I Especially love traveling to various places. I Also enjoy eating good food, taking photos of my surroundings, and spending time With loved ones.
