Meet MISS GUERRA

Hello! My name is Nicole Guerra, and I am an elementary educator with experience teaching across multiple grade levels. I earned my Master of Education and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential through California State University, Fullerton’s Combined Multiple Subject Program in January 2021. I also graduated from CSUF in May 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Child and Adolescent Development.

Since earning my credential, I have taught first grade, fifth grade, and most recently a fourth/fifth-grade combination class. These experiences have strengthened my ability to differentiate instruction, support diverse learners, and create structured yet nurturing classroom environments where students feel confident taking academic risks. Teaching across grade levels has also given me a deep understanding of developmental progression and the importance of meeting students where they are.

Before securing a full-time teaching position, I worked as a substitute teacher across K–8 classrooms in Garden Grove Unified, Irvine Unified, Orange Unified, and Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School Districts. I have also had the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of educational and community settings, including general education and special education classrooms, children’s hospitals, character education programs, tutoring programs, and community outreach events throughout Orange County.

In 2025, I was impacted by a reduction in force (RIF). Shortly after, I welcomed my son and spent time fully present in raising him during his first year. That season has been both grounding and meaningful, and I am now excited and ready to return to the classroom with renewed perspective, energy, and purpose.

I hope this portfolio offers insight into who I am as both an educator and an individual. I am deeply committed to continued growth and learning, and I look forward to creating classroom spaces where students feel supported, capable, and empowered to believe in themselves.

I Especially love traveling to various places. I Also enjoy eating good food, taking photos of my surroundings, and spending time With loved ones.
